Introduction by Darby Harn

An introduction would seem to be in order, and there's certainly plenty I have to say for why I felt the need to introduce yet another fledgling 'zine out into the cruel, unforgiving world, for instance: I write circle stories that don't fit into square magazines, and so do a lot of other writers I know and admire, so here's a circle magazine. Shelter for lit and art that is otherwise homeless. Everything fits inside, everything that doesn't conform to the limitations or expectations of form, content, or genre. But then I ask myself, why define something that wants to defend against definition? Other Than is just that: other. It is what it is, and that may change from issue to issue, story to story, or poem to poem. It is, hopefully, what can't be defined.
